In this tutorial we are going to see how to do color management inside Photoshop…Photoshop has a lot of color management features whose goal is to make the colors you see on your screen match the colors in your prints or colors the other people screens if you are making the images for the web that’s the challenge because every printer and every computer monitor takes the raw numerical values that make up the color and interprets them in slightly different ways .There are several things that you can do to help Photoshop to try to keep color consistent for you. One of the things is to set up Photoshop color setting properly, but even before you do that I urge you to go out and buy the hardware device called color remitter. Color remitter is a device that looks somewhat like a mouse it comes with the software and to gather the software and the hardware measure the way that your particular monitor reproduces color at this point in time it may cost for a couple of dollars for a good color remitter but it is well worth it if you want your output to match what you see on the screen in Photoshop in terms of color.

Now we will see how to set up Photoshop color settings

First open the color setting dialog box from the edit menu + color setting

Now the dialog box opens, you can see the dialog box on your screen like this which is below.

In this there are lot of setting and the explanation are very difficult, Color management is really a big subject but the good news is you don’t have to deal with every single setting here separately. The field at the top is the setting that offers some presets that controls all the settings below

My suggestion is this, if you want to prepare images for print then set the preset to North America Prepress 2 and if you are want to prepare images for web then set it to North America Web/Internet

Important Note 1: As already we saw that when we prepare images for the Internet we should set the color setting to North America Web/Internet, so what i am trying to say is screen shot which you see in this whole tutorial is based on North America Web/Internet or the screen shot are all SRGB color profile so dont use the same photo for practice which i used for this tutorial.when we upload to the web whatever the color profile the image have whether the image have RGB color profile or Apple RGB color profile it will be automatically converted into SRGB color profile

Important Note 2 : So the solution for this is to download the project file which i have attached with this photoshop basics tutorial because you can get the actual photo or the color profile which i used for this tutorial, so that you can practice …

Download Project File

you can check your color profile of your photos by using document information field down at the bottom of the window

Click the arrow to the left of the information field choose show and choose document profile

Now I am going to choose the color settings to North America Prepress 2 and show you what happens to the settings in the below field after selecting the North America Prepress 2 you can see it changes the settings in the below field it sets the RGB working space or the color environment for editing RGB color files to adobe RGB 1998

This workspace is particularly good for the purpose of printing files because it offers the wide range of colors choosing North America Prepress 2 also changed some of the color management policies down here which are basically rules for how to handle colors and any file that you open or in a new file inside Photoshop.

Now open any file in Photoshop by going to file open

Now the dialog box will open

In this you can choose whatever images you want and then click open. Now I am going to open the file which has adobe RGB color profile

Note: The photo below you see is actually had adobe RGB color profile but after uploading to the web it obviously changed to SRGB color profile, so for your practice download the project file which i have attached with this tutorial.

After opening the file which has rgb color profile you get no special messages you don’t have to take any special actions, what I am trying to say is when you open a file that was created in and has been stamped with or tagged with the same color profile as your working space you get no special messages you don’t have to take any special actions when you open the file and if you look at the bottom of this particular image you see the indication that this file has indeed been tagged with an adobe RGB color profile if you don’t see that click the arrow to the left of the information field choose show and choose document profile

Now I am going to open up the other file which has SRGB color profile

After opening the file it immediately shows the message

It’s telling that it’s a mismatch between the color profiles embedded in the file which is an SRGB profile and the color profile that is our working environment and it asks what would you like to do ?

Many cameras automatically embed the SRGB profile in photographs but its not necessarily to work in this profile because photographers love to have more colors available to them so if you are working with the file that comes directly from the camera you may want to convert the colors to adobe RGB working space. Its is very simple to do just click the second option to convert document’s colors to the working space

Now if you look at the document information field down at the bottom of the window you can see that it is really has been converted into an adobe RGB image.

Now I am going to open the other file which has no color profile that means which has no SRGB color profile or the Adobe RGB 1998 color profile the image will have no color profile attached to it you can find this kindly of problem mainly in the photographs which you have taken from mobile phones.

Open the file by going to file + open

After opening the file it immediately shows message that this file is missing a profile which doesn’t have any RGB embedded profile now what would you like to do ?

For now I am going to choose leave as is (don’t color manage) and then later we can choose the color profile so now click ok here and the photo opens in Photoshop

If you look at the bottom of the window you see it is untagged

Now go to edit menu at the top of the screen and choose assign profile that’s the best choice when you have an untagged image and you need to add a profile to it

Then assign profile dialog box opens

In this select the third option called profile

Then we can use this drop down menu to choose the color profile that we want to attach to this particular file I am only going to go through this 5 color profiles which is above the line at the top

Now I am going to choose adobe RGB and show you the result, so here is how it looks when we choose adobe RGB

Next I am going to choose Apple RGB and show you the result, so as you can see from the photo that it gets duller than adobe RGB color profile.

This is the result when I choose SRGB, this SRGB is also duller because it is narrow color range which offering only fewer colors

Finally I am going to choose ProPhoto and this is the end result

After seeing all this color profile in this case I am going to choose adobe RGB and click ok so that’s how I recommend that you deal with the color settings dialog box and then how to handle files that match or don’t match the working space you set up in Photoshop color settings and at last don’t forget to change the color setting we changed, to do this again go to edit + color setting and then choose North America General Purpose 2 so in that way you wont get any warnings when you open most of the file in Photoshop.

What we learnt here is general idea about the color management in Photoshop and there are more color management tasks to do inside Photoshop we will see in depth about the color management inside Photoshop in some other tutorial.

In this tutorial we are going to see how to Use photoshop brushes .This brushes created with water color. In this brushes we are going to create blood effect and i am going to show you an example about how to import a brush and a simple step by applying to it.

First create a new project.

photoshop tutorials

After creating a new file select brush tool by right clicking you will get a brushes menu from their load the brushes as shown in fig.

brushes text

Now i am going to import one new image for this tutorial. You can search in the website and use a similar image as i used in my tutorial.

graphic design tutorials

Next step after importing the first image i have imported another image also its a broken glass image.

illustrator tutorials

After that i have made that glass layer to multiply and reduced the fill amount to 87% and at the same time i have enlarged the glass image.

image brushes

making brushes

Then i have created a new layer from their i have imported the brush and painted it and keep the layer mode to overlay.

Free Photoshop tutorials.

Go to the glass layer and select color balance and increase the red and green value to maximum.

web design brushes

And finally you get an image like this.

This tutorial series going to cover some of the most interesting steps in maya lighting.Maya lighting does not behaves in the way where real life light does. So we are going to light this scene and composite in Fusion and see our final render image.

Lights in Maya

In the next step we are going to add the mesh to render layer as in my previous tutorial i have shown how to add these layers i have skipped few step as i have show this in my previous tutorials. As the same way i use to light i have created some three layer this can be said as layer method of lighting or prodution lighting method.

maya lighting pdf

Now i have added a Ambient light and reduced the ambient shade 0.0 and i have shown you the render image too. Now create a new occlusion layer and render the scene and see you set the result as image shown below.

maya lighting tutorials torrent

maya 3d torrent

Now we are going to set a key light for the scene. In this scene you have seen that the key source is said to be the sun light and it a day light scene now we are going to create a spot light and set the shadow values to 2048 and filter size to 4 and render the scene.

free maya lighting tutorials

Now render the key light.

digital tutors maya torrent

Now we are going to composite in fusion at the same time when we light the scene.

Maya render man

I have used batch render for the scene. After rendering the scene i have taken the layers to fusion and arrange the layers as shown first the ambient layer followed by the occlusion layer and change apply mode to mulitiply and followed by the key layer same as in occlusion layer make one key layer to multiply and the second one to screen mode before all these steps create a new background and give the image values as u have rendered the file.

Free Fusion tutorial

Now we are going to create bounce light and fill light for the scene follow the steps as i have shown below.

Create new layer and name it as fill and bounce layer.

maya lighting video tutorials

autodesk maya video tutorials

After rendering the scene i have added the bounce layer and fill layer in screen mode and done some color correction work in fusion.

digital fusion tutorials

Create a new scene as shown below.

Mountain

After creating the terrian i have duplicated the same model and placed in nice form. For duplicating the model select the model by holding Alt key you can duplicate the mesh.

Terrain Brushes

Now render the scene and see what output you get.

In this render you see the way sunlight is passing through make little artificial and we need to change the light direction. For that select the sunlight and turn the position and the directional of the light. Render the scene.

In this photoshop tutorial we are going to see how to create a photo effect by using curve, levels and contrast correction in a photo image. I have taken a image for this tutorial .

how to tutorial

step1: we are going to adjust the contrast level of the image for that go to image> adjustment>levels.

Now we will get a contrast as the below image shows.

illustrator

Now we are going to move to the next step . We are going to do color correction on the photograph. Go to image>adjustment>Curves.

maya beginner tutorials

maya video tutorials

In the fill layer i have used a point light in which i have given the intensity to 0.2 and i have used various colors in every light and i have added shadow so that the character get more depth.

Autodesk Maya is one of the software packages used in Hollywood

The highlighted area in red watch it now this is major step in this advanced lighting method. In ambient layer let that layer as normal and in occlusion make it as multiply and in key layer and fill light layer make it as screen.

Now go to options select render all layers.

maya 8.5 tutorials

Now render the scene.

3D max animation has several methods of animation work flows which help our way to animate the selected object. In this tutorial we are going to see some of the basic and easy way of animating a text using path constraint.Path constraint is widely used in camera animation such as trolley shots to make the camera run in a selected flow with motion .

Step1: Create a new scene with any text you want i have written my name so you can type anything you want.

3d max animation

Step2: Then go to modifier list and select bevel.

3d max studio tutorial

Step3: We are going to apply a gold texture to the text i have already shown you how to create gold, silver, bronze texture in my previous tutorial in 3d max. You can refer it for more details.

3d animation flow

Now go to splines create a line in the front view make sure the lines you are going to create is in wave format.

3d flash animationÂ

I have used fillet to the vertex to make the line bends in a nice manner.

creating 3d animation

By selecting the text go to animation>constraint>path constraint. And link the text with the path you have drawn.

Then move the key frames you can see the text move in the same line as a wave format.

3d animation design

In this tutorial we are going to see how to work with physical sun in 3d max and render it through mental ray.Physical sun light works most common to the real sun light and its light source behave the same way as in real sun light do same as in shadow casting also.In rendering the scene we are going to use mr photo graphics exposure to contol the amount of light coming . And In photo graphics exposure control we can see various parameters like shutter speed, aperture and flim speed . In this turorial we are going to see some of the basic parameters in physical sun light.

3Dmax free tutorial
